- Non-Targeted Employment Area Investment: Direct investment in a new U.S. company with a minimum investment of US$ 1,050,000. The investment must create direct employment for at least 10 qualified U.S. workers, and the investor is required to be involved in the day-to-day management or policy formulation of the company.
- Targeted Employment Area (TEA) Investment: An investment of at least US$ 800,000 in a government-designated Targeted Employment Area. Applicants may invest individually or through federally approved Regional Centers that connect foreign investors with qualifying projects.
