Path to Permanent Residency

Beyond the 5-Year Permit

Applicants become eligible for Permanent Residency after five years, provided they reside in Latvia for at least 183 days per year for four of those five years, demonstrate basic proficiency in the Latvian language, and show a general understanding of the country’s history and national anthem.
